Sadie Amara Calvano hails from America and is known for playing Violet Plunkett, in CBS' sitcom Mom. Calvano is from California and was interested at first in the sport of competitive gymnastics. In the end, however, Calvano chose to pursue an acting career. Her first appearance on screen was on the screen in 2010 with the CBS show 'NCIS. Her big screen debut came a year after in the biographical drama "J Edgar". Through the years, she's proven herself as among the most promising actors in today's field. The performance she gave on 'NCIS' was nominated by the Young Artist Award 2011 for the best performance of a television Series that features an guest Actress between 11-15 years old. In 2013, she was nominated once again for a Young Artist Award. This is for her role in Disney XD's "Kickin It'. Calvano was part of the ensemble cast of Mom for its first three seasons, and also appeared at least a few times in the fourth. Calvano's performance as a rising star on Mom was recognized with an award called the Gracie Allen Award, which is given to outstanding female actors.
